Pero la mejor pelicula de Pichel es, sin duda, Destination Moon (Con destino a la Luna, 1950), basada en una novela de Robert A. Heinlein, obra maestra del cine de fantasia espacial, resultado de su relacion con George Pal, productor de la pelicula.
